Perfect Oatmeal

Lately I have been eating oatmeal every morning. I'm generally not a big fan of the stuff, but I found that, by adding some delicious ingredients, it has become my favorite weekday breakfast meal! It's nothing fancy, just a combination of delicious ingredients that will make you feel like you're eating something naughty instead of something super healthy.
Servings: 2

Ingredients:
two servings of prepared oatmeal with milk (follow directions on package)
1/3 cup fresh blueberries
2 tbsp. toasted, chopped pecans
1 tbsp. light brown sugar

Assembly:
While oatmeal is cooking, toast the nuts in a small frying pan over medium heat for just a few minutes until they begin to brown. Remove from heat. Stir light brown sugar into hot oatmeal until dissolved. Top with pecans and blueberries and enjoy!
*To take several steps out of this recipe and make it easier for a before-work meal, use Quaker Maple Brown Sugar instant oatmeal, chopped pecans, omitting the toasting step (you can store the whole bag in the freezer, and it will keep for much longer) and your microwave.

Oatmeal is so satisfying. The combo of blueberries and pecans (toasted) sounds wonderful. Sometimes I like to add chopped dried fruit or even pieces of raw apple when I cook it. It almost is like a great desert!
